Request to Subdivide Braun Rd Property
Many Applewood residents have been closely following an application submitted to Jefferson County in March to subdivide a half-acre lot at 13455 Braun Road into two quarter-acre lots. From the preliminary plans submitted to the county, the proposed houses on the subdivided lots would be two stories. The footprint would extend to the minimum setbacks allowed by the county.
The preliminary plans do not mention what size the houses would be, but the supplemental graphic submitted to the county show the footprints occupy about one-quarter of the 12,600-square-foot lot. With a few exceptions for small two-story additions, the homes in the Applewood Ranchettes Subdivision, of which the property is part, are single-story, ranch-style homes that are considerably smaller than what the developer appears to be proposing.
