Free Slash Drop-Off Oct. 17

Written By Jen Lamborne

To encourage Applewood to remove flammable materials from the ignition zone around homes, APOA and Prospect Recreation & Park District are teaming up for our third free slash drop-off. Now is the time to get rid of those junipers!

  • Saturday, October 17, 2026

  • 9am to noon

  • Where: 4198 Xenon St., Wheat Ridge, CO 80033
(Pull up to the gate and wait for someone to open it.)

  • Cost: FREE with RSVP

  • What’s accepted: Limbs, branches, pine needles, and cones. (No stumps, rocks, or trash, please!)

If you’re not able to haul your own slash, APOA volunteers have limited capacity for pickups from your home. Sign up is first-come, first-served on our website.
