Ditch Trick-or-Treat
Neighbors along Crabapple and Foothills who back to the Agricultural Ditch west of Foothills Road have made Halloween on the ditch a favorite Applewood tradition. Little ghosts and goblins can show off costumes and trick-or-treat away from traffic. Though the rest of the neighborhood might still encourage you to still ring some doorbells - we don’t want to eat all those Costco-sized bags of candy ourselves!
Applewood fun fact: The Agricultural Ditch water right was originally appropriated on May 15, 1860, making it one of the most senior water rights on Clear Creek. The Rocky Mountain Ditch, which runs through Applewood further north and past Maple Grove Elementary, also carries water from Clear Creek.
